Ingredients

The crust and cheese

  • 1 lb. Fresh Pizza Dough
  • 1 lb. Low Moisture Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese Block
  • 8 oz. Fresh Moist Mozzarella Cheese Ball
  • ½ cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

The filling

  • 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 28 oz. Muir Glenn Fire Roasted Crushed Tomatoes

Seasonings and toppings

  • 1 tbsp. Parmesan Grated Cheese
  • ¼ tbsp. Oregano
  • 2 tbsp. Italian Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Spread pastry flour on the countertop and shape the fresh dough into a circle, rolling it to a diameter of 13 inches.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef with Italian seasoning and cook in a medium-heat pan until browned.
  4. Lightly coat a cast iron skillet with olive oil and place the rolled dough inside, forming it along the edges.
  5. Slice the low moisture mozzarella and layer it on the bottom of the crust.
  6. Add the cooked ground beef on top of the cheese, followed by chopped fresh mozzarella and shredded mozzarella.
  7. Using a slotted spoon, spread the crushed tomatoes evenly over the top, then sprinkle with oregano and grated Parmesan.
  8. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 400 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
