Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Crumble the tofu into ~½-inch pieces and arrange on the baking sheet. Toss with oil to coat.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then flip the tofu and bake for an additional 5-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
- In a saucepan, combine gochujang, lime juice, maple syrup, and water, whisking to combine.
- Adjust the sauce for spice, adding gochugaru and cayenne if desired, then add cornstarch and whisk until smooth.
- Heat the sauce over medium-high, whisking until it thickens, about 5-8 minutes.
- Combine the baked tofu with the sauce and serve warm or at room temperature.
