Instructions
- Sift the dry ingredients and set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar until creamy, then add eggs one at a time.
- Mix in lemon zest, vanilla, almond extract, and honey if using.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Form the dough into a disk, wrap it, and chill for several hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough and cut into shapes, placing them on the baking sheets.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes until set and lightly browned.
- Let cool before decorating.
