cornmeal for sprinkling
Instructions
- Grease a loaf pan and dust with cornmeal.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Warm the milk, water, and oil to the temperature recommended by the yeast manufacturer.
- Pour the warm liquid over the dry ingredients and beat on high for one minute.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and press it evenly.
- Cover with greased plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Bake for 22 to 27 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 185°F to 190°F.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a cooling rack and cool completely before slicing.
