Ingredients

The cauliflower

  • 1 large cauliflower

The seasoning and butter

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220C/450F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the cauliflower into 1-1½ inch thick steaks, creating a crisscross pattern through each steak.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with the butter mixture and place them on the lined tray.
  5. Bake the cauliflower steaks for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
