Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then cool in ice water and drain.
- In a saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil over medium-high heat.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, milk, and spices until combined.
- Slowly add the flour mixture to the boiling broth in stages, stirring to prevent clumping.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until the mixture thickens, about 6-10 minutes.
- Combine the thickened sauce with the green beans and crumbled bacon, then transfer to a baking dish.
- Top with breadcrumbs and spray with cooking oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
