Green Bean Casserole

Instructions
- Boil water and cook green beans for 4-5 minutes, then transfer to ice water to stop cooking.
- In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy, then drain oil and add onions and garlic, cooking until wilted.
- Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, then remove the mixture and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour, cooking for about a minute.
- Gradually add chicken broth and evaporated milk, stirring to avoid lumps, and simmer until thickened.
- Stir in cheese and the mushroom mixture, then season with salt, pepper, and Creole seasoning.
- Combine green beans with the sauce and add fried onions if desired.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with remaining fried onions, and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
