Ingredients

The dates

  • 48 pieces pitted dates
  • 48 pieces whole blanched almonds

The chocolate cream

  • ΒΌ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Cut one side of the dates to expose the pit space.
  2. Boil the heavy whipping cream in a small pan, then remove from heat.
  3. Add the chopped chocolate to the cream and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Whisk the chocolate into the cream until smooth, then let it thicken at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  5. Fill the dates with the chocolate cream using a piping method or a teaspoon.
  6. Place a whole almond on top of the chocolate in each date.
  7. Refrigerate the dates and bring them to room temperature before serving.
