The pizza

pizza dough

marinara sauce

green bell pepper, sliced
to taste
fresh chopped oregano, red pepper flakes, and freshly ground black pepper
The dough (optional)

warm water (105-110°F)

packet (2¼ teaspoons)
instant yeast

teaspoons
granulated sugar
2
tablespoons
olive oil

teaspoon
table salt

all-purpose flour
Instructions
If using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 500°F.
Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
Preheat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat and drizzle with oil.
Transfer the rolled-out dough to the skillet and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form.
Top the dough with marinara sauce, half of the cheese, and half of the peppers, then add the remaining cheese and peppers.
Bake in the oven for 12-14 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is golden.
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh oregano, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
