Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Cut the plant-based sausage into small pieces and cook in a small cast-iron skillet until browned.
- Press the pizza dough into a dry 10-inch cast iron skillet, creating a thicker rim for the crust.
- Prick the stretched dough with a fork and heat the skillet on the stove for 2 minutes.
- Brush the crust with olive oil, then spread cashew cream or sprinkle grated mozzarella on top.
- Add the cooked sausage, red onion, artichokes, red peppers, and/or tomatoes as toppings.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
- Top with dollops of pesto, a drizzle of olive oil, fresh basil, and red pepper flakes before serving.
