Instructions
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter.
- Place one slice of bread in the pan and layer cheese on top, leaving room in the center.
- Cover with the second slice of bread.
- Cook for about 4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes until crispy.
- Remove from heat and cut a circular hole in the center of the sandwich.
- Return the sandwich to the pan over low heat and crack an egg into the hole.
- Cover the pan and cook until the egg whites are set.
- Add any desired toppings and enjoy.
