Instructions
- Cut the center out of the slice of bread using a small round cutter, saving the center piece.
- Spread butter onto a hot frying pan or electric griddle.
- Place the bread and the center piece on the hot buttered surface.
- Crack an egg into the hole of the bread.
- Season the egg with salt and pepper and cook for about 1-2 minutes.
- Flip the bread and the egg, adding more salt and pepper, and cook until the desired egg softness is reached.
- Serve immediately, using the cut-out piece of bread to soak up the runny yolk.
