Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Place blueberries in a baking dish and drizzle with lemon juice.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar and flour, then sprinkle over blueberries and toss.
- Bake until the filling is hot and bubbling, about 25 minutes.
- Prepare the topping by mixing flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Just before removing the filling from the oven, combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Remove the filling from the oven, increase the temperature to 400°F, and dollop the batter over the blueberries.
- Sprinkle sugar over the dough and return to the oven until the topping is cooked through, about 12-14 minutes.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
