Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine all dry ingredients for the crust in a large bowl and whisk together.
- Make a well in the dry mixture, add eggs, and whisk them in.
- Add melted butter (cooled) and mix into the dry ingredients, gradually adding water until a thick dough forms.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, sprinkle with tapioca flour, and shape into a circular crust about 3/8 inch thick.
- Bake the crust for 20 minutes.
- While the crust bakes, prepare the toppings.
- After 20 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 400°F.
- Add toppings to the baked crust in the specified order, placing mozzarella last if using.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
