Ingredients

The chicken wings

  • lbs chicken wingettes and drumettes
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Ground black pepper

The marinade

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, peeled and minced
  • 3 tablespoons white miso
  • 3 tablespoons mirin, sweet cooking wine
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

For garnish

  • to taste White sesame

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (207°C).
  2. Clean and rinse the chicken wings, then pat them dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, combine garlic, ginger, miso, mirin, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil, whisking until smooth.
  4. Marinate the chicken in the miso mixture for 2 hours.
  5. Arrange the marinated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Flip the wings and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Garnish with white sesame seeds and serve immediately.
