Instructions
- Spray the slow cooker with cooking oil.
- Add all ingredients to the slow cooker.
- Cook rolled oats for 2 ½ to 3 hours on High or 5 to 6 hours on Low.
- Cook steel-cut oats for 3 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.
- Mash the sweet potatoes after cooking.
- Adjust sweetness and consistency with additional milk or water as needed.
- For stovetop, use cooked, mashed sweet potatoes and follow oatmeal packaging instructions, adding flavorings after cooking.
