The carrots

carrots, peeled and sliced into ½ inch pieces
The glaze

brown sugar

Instructions
- 1. Place the carrots in a large pan and add 1 cup of water.
- 2. Bring to a simmer and cook the carrots for 8-10 minutes until tender.
- 3. Drain the water and return the pan to medium heat.
- 4. Add brown sugar, butter, salt, and pepper to the pan.
- 5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the butter and sugar melt and coat the carrots.
- 6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
