Ingredients

The carrots

  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced into ½ inch pieces

The glaze

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. 1. Place the carrots in a large pan and add 1 cup of water.
  2. 2. Bring to a simmer and cook the carrots for 8-10 minutes until tender.
  3. 3. Drain the water and return the pan to medium heat.
  4. 4. Add brown sugar, butter, salt, and pepper to the pan.
  5. 5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the butter and sugar melt and coat the carrots.
  6. 6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
