Ingredients

The shrimp

  • pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled

The seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

The cooking ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

To serve

  • to taste cilantro
  • to taste lemon juice
  • to taste lime juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and dried thyme in a small bowl.
  2. Toss the seasoning mix with the jumbo shrimp until well coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 4 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the pan and brush with the garlic butter mixture.
