Ingredients

  • 4 ounces fresh basil
  • ¼ cup walnut halves or pieces
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or avocado oil
  • to taste sea salt
  • to taste fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pulse the basil, walnuts, garlic, lemon juice, and ¼ cup of oil in a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, then add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil while the processor is running.
  3. Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
