Boozy Chocolate Truffles

The truffle mixture

Grand Marnier, Brandy, Port, Marsala, or other liquor
The coating

candy-making chocolate disks (dark)

Dutch process cocoa powder
Instructions
- Melt bittersweet chocolate and butter together in a microwave or over simmering water.
- In a saucepan, heat cream, corn syrup, and salt until simmering, then pour over the melted chocolate and stir to combine.
- Add the alcohol to the mixture and stir well, then pour into a baking dish and chill for at least one hour.
- Scoop the chilled chocolate mixture into balls and chill again for another hour.
- Melt the coating chocolate in a bowl over simmering water, then prepare a vessel with cocoa powder.
- Coat each truffle in the melted chocolate, then transfer to the cocoa powder and shake to coat.
- Store the finished truffles in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
