Ingredients

The coffee

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans

The water

  • 3 cups water

Optional

  • to taste cream

Instructions

  1. Grind 1 cup of whole coffee beans to a coarse grind.
  2. Combine the ground coffee and 3 cups of water in a large jar or bowl, mixing until all grounds are wet.
  3. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes, then mix again and seal the jar.
  4. Refrigerate and let it brew for 12-18 hours.
  5. Filter the coffee using a tea towel or fine mesh sieve to remove the grounds.
  6. Serve the cold brew over ice and enjoy.
