Grilled Plantains

Ingredients

The plantains

  • 4 very ripe plantains

The oil

  • 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted

Suggested toppings

  • to taste Raw local honey
  • to taste Cinnamon
  • to taste Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat, around 500°F.
  2. Score the plantain peels with a knife and peel them.
  3. Cut the plantains in half lengthwise.
  4. Place the plantains on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, basting with melted coconut oil as they cook.
  5. Remove from the grill and top with your favorite seasonings and toppings. Enjoy!
