Cheesy Bacon BBQ Chicken

raw boneless skinless chicken breasts or cutlets

barbecue sauce

reduced fat cheddar, shredded
Seasoning

Instructions
- Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brush both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil and place them on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the chicken lightly with salt and pepper, then bake for 15 minutes.
- Flip the chicken breasts over, divide the barbecue sauce into two dishes, and brush half of one dish onto the chicken.
- Flip the chicken back over and brush the remaining barbecue sauce from that dish on top.
- Return the chicken to the oven for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the oven, transfer to a new lined baking sheet, and check for doneness.
- Use the remaining barbecue sauce to coat the tops of the chicken, then sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
- Bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
