Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2 ½ pounds chicken legs

The seasoning

  • 2 ½ teaspoons sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

The sauce

  • 1 ½ cups BBQ sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the water bath to 155°F.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then place it in a sous vide bag and vacuum seal it.
  3. Cook the chicken in the water bath for 2 hours.
  4. Remove the chicken from the bag and pat it dry.
  5. Preheat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat and add the chicken.
  6. Cook the chicken for 4 minutes, flipping often.
  7. Brush the chicken with BBQ sauce, reduce heat to medium, and cook for another 4 minutes while flipping and adding more sauce.
  8. Serve with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
