Ingredients

The chicken

  • 3 lb Chicken drumsticks (bone-in, skin on)

The seasoning

  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • ½ tbsp Sea salt
  • ¾ tsp Black pepper
  • ½ tbsp Smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp Garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp Onion powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Clean the grill grates with an oiled paper towel and preheat the grill to medium-high.
  2. 2. Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  3. 3. Brush both sides of each drumstick with olive oil.
  4. 4. Mix the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl, then season the drumsticks on both sides.
  5. 5. For fast grilling, place drumsticks over direct heat and cook for about 25 minutes, flipping every 5-7 minutes until they reach 170°F (77°C). For crispier skin, use indirect heat and cook for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. 6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest uncovered for 5-10 minutes before serving.
