Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and yeast.
- Pour in warm water and stir until a shaggy ball forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for 12 to 18 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and place a cast iron pot inside to heat for 30 minutes.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
- Cover the dough with a large bowl and let it rest while the pot heats.
- Carefully drop the dough into the hot pot, cover with a lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake uncovered for an additional 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing.
