Ingredients

The mushrooms

  • 2 lb mushrooms

The cooking fats

  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil

The flavorings

  • tablespoon garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian parsley, finely chopped
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • tablespoon Worcestershire sauce or balsamic vinegar or soy sauce or white wine (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the mushrooms and brush off any dirt, cutting large ones in half.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the mushrooms in a single layer to dry sauté them for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Drain the liquid released by the mushrooms or let it evaporate to concentrate the flavor.
  4. Add the oil, butter, garlic, and one type of optional flavoring, then sauté until mushrooms are golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Turn off the heat, season with salt and black pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve.
