Ingredients

The vegetables

  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 pound mushrooms, thickly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

The seasonings

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and cook for 6-8 minutes until soft and beginning to brown.
  3. Add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender, about 7 more minutes.
  5. Stir in the garlic, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce, then cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.
