Ingredients

The dough

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter or melted coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 heaping cup dark chocolate chips

For topping

  • to taste flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8-inch baking dish, lining it with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, sea salt, and baking soda.
  3. 3. In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. 4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. 5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  6. 6. Bake for 33 to 38 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  7. 7. Allow to cool in the pan for at least an hour before slicing and serving.
