Sweet and Sour Pork Noodles

Ingredients

The noodles and pork

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 oz pork, sliced into thin pieces
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz bean sprouts, roots removed

The sauce and marinade

  • ½ tablespoon oyster sauce
  • to taste salt
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 dashes white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic chili sauce
  • ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

Instructions

  1. Boil the egg noodles until al dente, rinse with cold water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Marinate the pork with all the marinade ingredients for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a wok or skillet, add garlic, and stir-fry until fragrant.
  4. Add the pork to the wok and cook until nearly done, then add bean sprouts and noodles.
  5. Stir in oyster sauce and combine everything, adding salt to taste.
  6. Cook until the bean sprouts are wilted but still crunchy, then serve.
