Crispy Sourdough Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 6 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter, softened
  • 3 slices cheddar cheese
  • 3 slices Havarti cheese
  • 3 slices gruyere cheese
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Butter both sides of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Layer the cheeses on one slice of bread, starting with Havarti, then Gouda, and cheddar, and sprinkle parmesan on top.
  4. Top with another slice of bread.
  5. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until both sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 2-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the pan and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.
