New York Strip Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

Ingredients

The steak

  • 2 steaks 8 oz. Strip Loin Steaks
  • ½ tsp Himalayan Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Butter

The chimichurri sauce

  • ½ cup Fresh Parsley
  • ½ cup Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Red Crushed Peppers
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Himalayan Salt

Instructions

  1. Chop the fresh parsley and add it to a food processor along with all other chimichurri sauce ingredients, then pulse until combined.
  2. Season both sides of the steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat a cast iron grill to high heat and add butter to the pan.
  4. Grill the steak for 2 minutes on each side, then allow it to rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Slice the steak to the desired thickness and top with chimichurri sauce. Serve immediately.
