Instructions
- Combine olive oil, lime juice, sugar, salt, cumin, garlic, water, smoked paprika, onion powder, and chili powder in a resealable bag or bowl.
- Add the steak to the marinade and refrigerate for at least one hour, up to six hours.
- Preheat the grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Cook the steak for 5-6 minutes on each side for medium doneness, then let it rest for 5 minutes.
- While the steak is cooking, prepare the avocado topping by mixing avocado, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt in a bowl.
- Slice the steak against the grain and divide it among the tortillas, topping with the avocado mixture before serving.
