Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture in thirds, mixing until the dough begins to clump.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to ¼-inch thick.
- Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and place them on the baking sheets.
- Bake for 6 to 9 minutes until the edges are golden.
