Instructions
- 1. Combine flour and butter in a bowl until you have coarse crumbs.
- 2. Add 2 tablespoons of ice-cold water and mix until a thick dough forms, then refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- 3. Toss the berries with cornstarch, sugar, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
- 4. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 5. Roll the dough into a 12-inch circle on the lined sheet and place the berry mixture in the center, leaving a 2-inch border.
- 6. Fold the dough over the fruit, whisk the egg with the remaining water, and brush it over the dough edges.
- 7. Sprinkle sugar on top and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
- 8. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
