10-Minute Spicy Popcorn

Ingredients

The popcorn

  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil

The sauce

  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2-3 tablespoons hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • salt to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter and maple syrup in a small saucepan until the butter melts.
  2. Stir in the hot sauce and smoked paprika, whisking to combine.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat.
  4. Heat the coconut oil in a popcorn maker or heavy-bottomed pan.
  5. Add the popcorn kernels and shake occasionally until popping stops.
  6. Transfer the popcorn to a large bowl.
  7. Toss the popcorn with the hot sauce mixture until coated.
  8. Sprinkle with salt to taste and enjoy.
