Ingredients

The granola base

  • 4 cups raw nuts
  • 1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chia seed meal
  • 2 teaspoons cardamom
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

The wet ingredients

  • 1 cup applesauce with no added sugar
  • teaspoon vanilla liquid stevia

Instructions

  1. Soak the nuts for 8 hours, then rinse and strain them.
  2. Pulse the nuts in a food processor or chop them roughly, then add to a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the shredded coconut, almond flour, coconut sugar, chia seed meal, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and sea salt until well combined.
  4. Add the applesauce and stevia, mixing again until combined.
  5. Spread the mixture onto lined dehydrator trays.
  6. Dehydrate overnight at about 115°F until dry and crunchy.
  7. Break into desired sizes and enjoy, or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
