Italian Sausage Bean and Rice Skillet

Instructions
- 1. Lightly mist a large sauté pan with cooking spray and heat over medium.
- 2. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it up until it starts to brown.
- 3. Drain any excess grease from the pan.
- 4. Stir in the chopped onion and zucchini, cooking for another 5 minutes until softened.
- 5. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- 6. Stir in the rice and cook for another minute.
- 7. Add the beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, balsamic vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and stir to combine.
- 8. Pour in the broth and stir together.
- 9. Increase heat to bring the mixture to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low.
- 10. Simmer for 22-28 minutes, stirring occasionally until the rice is cooked and liquid is mostly absorbed.
- 11. Serve warm.
