apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges

Instructions
- Place the peeled apple wedges into the slow cooker and add water.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Mash the apples lightly with a fork or spoon.
- Add cinnamon, starting with ½ teaspoon, and stir.
- Continue to cook on low for another 15 minutes.
- For chunkier applesauce, serve as is; for smooth applesauce, blend until desired consistency is reached.
