Ingredients

The apples

  • 8 medium-large apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges

The liquid

  • ¼ cup water

The seasoning

  • to taste cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place the peeled apple wedges into the slow cooker and add water.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Mash the apples lightly with a fork or spoon.
  4. Add cinnamon, starting with ½ teaspoon, and stir.
  5. Continue to cook on low for another 15 minutes.
  6. For chunkier applesauce, serve as is; for smooth applesauce, blend until desired consistency is reached.
