Fresh Fruit Bruschetta with Orange-Honey Cream

Ingredients

The bread

  • 1 loaf baguette or similar-sized French bread
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

The fruit

  • C diced strawberries (about 10 medium strawberries)
  • 1 C finely diced mango (about 1 medium mango)
  • 1 C finely diced kiwi (about 3 kiwi)

The sauce

  • ½ C sour cream (full fat recommended)
  • 3 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Slice the bread into ½ inch slices and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  3. Brush each slice with melted butter.
  4. Mix the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the bread slices.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are toasted, then let them cool.
  6. While the bread is toasting, mix the sour cream, honey, and orange zest in a bowl and refrigerate.
  7. Combine the diced strawberries, mango, and kiwi in another bowl and stir gently.
  8. Once the bread has cooled, place about 1 Tbsp. of the fruit mixture on top of each slice.
  9. Drizzle with the sour cream mixture and serve immediately.
