Ingredients

The salmon

  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 4 ounce salmon fillets
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

The avocado salsa

  • 1 medium avocado
  • ½ cup red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon red onion
  • 2 tablespoon fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 lime juice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Place salmon skin side up in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. While salmon is cooking, prepare the avocado salsa by mixing avocado, red bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice in a small bowl.
  5. Season salsa with salt and pepper to taste and stir gently.
  6. Spoon avocado salsa over the cooked salmon fillets and serve immediately.
