Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
- Mash the bananas and set aside.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Beat the butter until smooth, then add both sugars and beat until creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, then mix in the mashed bananas.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45–50 minutes.
- Cool the cake completely on a wire rack.
- For the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth, then add sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- Spread the frosting on the cooled cake and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
