Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 450°F and place the oven rack in the middle position.
- 2. Melt the butter in a 9-inch oven-safe skillet over moderate heat, reserving 2 tablespoons in a blender or food processor.
- 3. Add the apple slices to the skillet and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
- 4. While the apples are cooking, blend the reserved butter with milk, flour, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- 5. Pour the batter over the softened apples in the skillet and transfer it to the oven.
- 6. Bake for about 15 minutes until the pancake is puffed and golden.
- 7. Dust with confectioners sugar and serve immediately.
