Instructions
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Mix in the egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined; chill the dough for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare baking sheets.
- Scoop and roll dough into balls, then roll in sugar before placing on baking sheets.
- Flatten the dough balls slightly and bake for 13-15 minutes until lightly browned.
- Cool cookies on a rack before frosting.
- To make frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until creamy, then add sugar and vanilla.
- Frost cooled cookies and decorate with sprinkles.
