Instructions
- Char the tomatoes in a dry skillet over medium-high heat for about 7-8 minutes until softened and blackened in spots.
- Combine the charred tomatoes with olive oil, vinegar, maple syrup, shallots, garlic, and basil in a blender and pulse until combined, leaving some texture.
- Transfer the mixture to a jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
