Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a muffin tin with paper cases or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the applesauce, buttermilk, brown sugar, canola oil, egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet mixture, stirring until just moist.
- Fold in the berries gently.
- Fill the muffin cups about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 16-18 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool on a rack before enjoying.
