Ingredients

Cookie Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • a pinch kosher salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 3 ounces milk or dark chocolate
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¾ cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs

Topping

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 ounce milk chocolate, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and salt in a bowl, then mix in melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into a pie dish and bake for about 5 minutes until slightly darker.
  4. Allow the crust to cool completely.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and let it cool slightly.
  6. In a mixer, beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  7. Add the cooled chocolate and mix well.
  8. Add eggs one at a time, mixing for 5 minutes after each addition.
  9. Spread the filling into the cooled crust and refrigerate for about 5 hours.
  10. Before serving, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until fluffy and spread on top of the pie.
