Cajun Style Shrimp and Sausage

cooked brown rice (cooked per instructions on the box)
Instructions
- Coat the shrimp with one tablespoon of Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until almost fully cooked, then set aside.
- In the same pan, add butter and sauté onions, mushrooms, and peppers for 3-5 minutes until soft.
- Add okra, sausage, and garlic to the pan and sauté for another 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth, cream, and Romano cheese, reduce heat, and let the sauce reduce by about one-third while stirring occasionally.
- Re-season with sea salt and black pepper, and add shrimp back to the pan, heating until the mixture reaches a minimum temperature of 165 degrees.
- Serve the mixture over brown rice or your favorite grain.
