Ingredients

The BBQ Rib Rub

  • ¼ cup sweet paprika
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

The Ribs

  • 2 racks baby back pork ribs (6 to 8 pounds)
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • to taste your favorite barbeque sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ribs by placing them on aluminum foil and rubbing the dry rub mixture generously over both sides.
  2. Wrap the ribs in foil and refrigerate for 4 to 48 hours.
  3. Pour apple cider into the Instant Pot and place a wire rack inside.
  4. Position the ribs on the rack with the bones facing up and lock the lid.
  5. Set the Instant Pot to high pressure and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. After cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes before releasing the remaining pressure.
  7. Preheat the oven to 450°F or prepare the grill.
  8. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and broil in the oven for 4-5 minutes, or grill for 3-5 minutes on each side.
  9. Serve with additional barbecue sauce as desired.
