Ingredients

The smoothie base

  • 1 ½ cups frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup frozen banana chunks
  • 2 packets (3.5 ounces each) frozen unsweetened açai berry purée
  • 1 cup ice cold water
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons lime juice

The toppings

  • to taste coconut granola
  • to taste shredded unsweetened coconut
  • to taste chopped nuts
  • to taste chia seeds
  • to taste sliced fresh banana or kiwi or other tropical fruits

Instructions

  1. Blend the frozen mango, pineapple, and banana in a blender.
  2. Thaw the açai packets under warm water for about 10 seconds, then pour the pulp into the blender.
  3. Add the cold water and blend starting on low speed, increasing to high as it blends smoothly.
  4. If needed, scrape down the sides and add more water to achieve the desired consistency.
  5. Add lime juice to taste and blend briefly to combine.
  6. Pour the smoothie into bowls and add your choice of toppings.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days without toppings.
